Η Μελίνα είναι 4,5 μηνών περίπου και βρέθηκε στην περιοχή του γηπέδου. Οδηγήθηκε στον υπεύθυνο κτηνίατρο του Δήμου Κατερίνης από την αντιπρόεδρο της φιλοζωικής ΕΛΠΙΔΑ ΚΑΙ ΣΤΟΡΓΗ και την εθελόντρια ανάδοχο Φιλιώ. Είναι γύρω στα 6 κιλά, και σε πλήρη ανάπτυξη δεν θα ξεπεράσει τα 10.
Διαγνώστηκε δεμοδηκτική ψώρα. Η δεμοδηκτική ψώρα φείλεται σε ενα ακάρεο που ζει κυρίως στους θύλακες των τριχών και στους σμηγματογόνους αδενες και μεταδίδεται στα κουτάβια τις πρώτες 3-4 μέρες της ζωής τους από τη μητέρα τους. Δεν μεταδίδεται με άλλο τρόπο, ούτε από σκύλο σε σκύλο, ούτε από σκύλο σε άνθρωπο. Φορείς του παράσιτου αυτού είναι ουσιαστικά όλα τα σκυλιά, λίγα όμως εκδηλώνουν τη νόσο. Στα κουτάβια ειναι σχετικά συχνή η εκδήλωση της νόσου επειδή το ανοσοποιητικό τους σύστημα δεν είναι ακόμη επαρκώς ανεπτυγμένο. Συνήθως έχει εντοπισμένη μορφή με μικρές αλλοιώσεις στο κεφάλι και στο σώμα και αυτοθεραπεύεται σε ποσοστό 90 % .( πηγή: Τελέσιλλα)
Ξεκίνησε θεραπεία για πιο σίγουρα αποτελέσματα, και θα φιλοξενηθεί από την εθελόντρια ανάδοχο Φιλιώ έως ότου θεραπευθεί από την ψώρα και φθάσει στον πρώτο οίστρο, έτσι ώστε να μπορέσουν να γίνουν τα εμβόλια και η στείρωση από το Δήμο Κατερίνης και να δοθεί σε μόνιμο ανάδοχο για υιοθεσία.

Milie currently weighs 6 kilos and was diagnosed with Demodectic mange, completely curable. She is on antibiotics in foster care receiving proper treatment and she will be good to go in about a month. She's very tender and loving, does well with cats and other dogs, loves children and is house broken.
Demodectic mange can cause itching. The skin is reddened and scaly, and hair loss occurs in round patches resembling ‘ringworm.’ The face and front legs are most commonly affected, although some cases may be generalized. Generalized demodectic mange is often a sign of underlying internal disease or a hereditary problem.
Mange is treated by clipping the affected areas and washing them with an antiseptic. Antimite dips are often necessary and may be used weekly or biweekly for several months. Shampoos can be sued before each dip. The dog’s eyes should be protected with mineral oil or eye ointment and the ears plugged with cotton before dipping. Most cases of mange respond well to this treatment. Antibiotics can be administered in cases of mange where infection may be present.

sie war allein Scheu und Krank,ihr zuhause? die Straßen in Katerini.Nach der Diagnose (Hauterkrangung)hat sie 2 mal in der Woche ein Warmes Bad bekommen,und antibiotikum.Unsere Nachbahrin und Mitglied der Verein,die Filio hat die Melina versorgt.Sobald sie Gesund ist,werden wir ein gutes zuhause für sie suchen.
